The lifejacket also features assymetric buoyancy, (more foam on one side at the front than on the other), this has the effect of turning the child onto his or her back much more quickly than if the buoyancy was equal. A fixed foam lifejacket solves the potential problem of small fingers loosening the gas cylinder on an inflating jacket.
